Front Wiper Module Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the front wiper arms from the wiper pivots. (Refer to FRONT WIPERS/WASHERS/FRONT WIPER ARMS - REMOVAL).
3. Remove the Cowl plenum cover/grille panel from the cowl top panel.
4. Reach into the cowl plenum to access and disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the front wiper motor from the front wiper motor pigtail wire connector.
5. Open and support the hood.

6. Remove the two nuts that secure the studs of the front wiper module mounting bracket and reinforcement to the dash panel.
7. Remove the four screws near the wiper pivots that secure the ends of the front wiper module bracket to the cowl top panel.
8. Remove the front wiper module from the cowl plenum as a unit.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the front wiper module into the cowl plenum as a unit.

2. Install and tighten the four screws that secure the ends of the front wiper module bracket near the wiper pivots to the cowl top panel. Tighten the screws to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.).
3. Install and tighten the two nuts that secure the studs of the front wiper module mounting bracket and reinforcement to the dash panel. Tighten the nuts to 6 Nm (50 in. lbs.).
4. Close the hood.
5. Reach into the cowl plenum to access and reconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the front wiper motor to the front wiper motor pigtail wire connector.
6. Reinstall the cowl plenum cover/grille panel onto the cowl top panel.
7. Reinstall the front wiper arms onto the wiper pivots. (Refer to WIPERS/WASHERS/WIPER ARMS - INSTALLATION).
8. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
