Communications to PCM

COMMUNICATIONS TO PCM

The PCM is continuously sending Bus Messages to the TCM. The TCM requires inputs from the PCM primarily to determine the Vehicle speed, Engine RPM, and the Park/Neutral switch state.

The PCM also monitors the COD bus messages from the TCM. A Diagnostic code is set if the TCM does not receive any valid messages from the PCM for 20 seconds.
