OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves re-adhering the headliner storage pocket retaining ring to the headliner
MODELS:

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The headliner storage pocket may become loose or separated from the headliner and difficult to reinstall because the retaining ring has separated from the headliner.
DIAGNOSIS:
Visually inspect the headliner and determine if the storage pocket retaining ring has separated from the headliner, if it has perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Unsnap the drivers side visor from the receptacle & rotate the visor against the side rail.
2. Using easy release tape (i.e. painters tape), add tape around the perimeter of the headliner storage pocket opening to protect the headliner fabric from contact with adhesive. Tape should not leave a sticky residue on the fabric.
3. Cover any areas of the vehicle interior that could have adhesive drip on to it.
4. If the retaining ring is still partially adhered to the headliner, gently lift the unattached portion of the retainer ring off the surface of the headliner. If the retaining ring has completely separated from the headliner skip to step 6.
5. Place the MOPAR Bond All Gel nozzle tip between the headliner & retainer at the area that needs to be bonded and apply a thin bead of MOPAR Bond All Gel to the backside of the headliner surface.
6. Carefully position the retainer ring so a thin bead of MOPAR Bond All Gel can be applied to backside of the headliner surface 6 mm (1/4 in.) from the edge of the opening for the storage pocket. After the MOPAR Bond All Gel is applied carefully position the retaining ring to the headliner so it is perfectly centered around the storage pocket opening.
NOTE:
Failure to properly locate the retaining ring will prevent storage pocket from snapping into the retainer, cause gaps where the storage pocket flange does not cover the cutout in the headliner and/or cause a rattle between retainer and the roof sheet metal.
7. Using hand pressure, squeeze retainer firmly against the headliner for approximately 30 seconds.
8. Let the retainer/headliner bond sit without load for 3-12 hours for MOPAR Bond All Gel to cure.
9. Snap storage pocket bezel into the retainer.
