Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation

INSTALLATION

Anchor Cover

1. Position the anchor cover (1) back onto the side cover and secure the lower tabs (3).
2. Position the upper arrow clip (2) in place and seat fully.

Manual Seats

NOTE: The retaining clips may be destroyed during removal. Always replace with new clips.

1. Install new retaining clips onto the side shield.
2. Secure the front support hook (3) to the support wire and then position the corner support over the upper corner of the wire loop.

3. Rotate the back of the shield (1) down over the support wire (2) and engage the corner support to the support wire.

4. Secure the lower rear support hook (2) to the support wire (3) and seat the upper clips (1) fully into the seat cushion frame.

5. Seat the arrow clips (2) into the inner shield hoops fully.

6. Install the screws.

7. Install the two screws at the rear of the side shield.

8. Install the seat belt anchor (3) and install the anchor bolt (2).
9. Tighten the bolt (2) to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

10. Position the anchor cover (1) back onto the side cover and secure the lower tabs (3).
11. Position the upper arrow clip (2) in place and seat fully.

12. Make sure the retaining clip is seated onto the recliner handle and seat the handle (2) onto the recliner shaft fully.

Power Seats

Driver Side

NOTE: Passenger side shown, driver side is similar.

1. Position the rear side shield into place and install the screws.

NOTE: The retaining clips (1) may be destroyed during removal. Always replace with new clips.

2. Install new retaining clips (1) onto the side shield tabs (2).

3. Position the front side shield (1) over the recliner shaft and insert the tongue on the front shield into the slot on the rear shield (2).

4. Seat the upper clip (1) to the seat cushion frame (2) fully.

5. Position the power seat switch (1) back into the seat side shield and seat the retaining tabs (2) fully.

6. Locate the lower rear retaining clip and seat into the seat cushion frame fully.

7. Secure the front upper hoop (1) to the tab on the seat cushion frame.

8. Locate the lower front retaining clip and seat into the seat cushion frame fully.

9. Make sure the retaining clip is seated onto the recliner handle and seat the handle (2) onto the recliner shaft fully.

Passenger Side

NOTE: The retaining clips (1) may be destroyed during removal. Always replace with new clips.

1. Install new retaining clips (1) onto the side shield tabs (2).

2. Seat the upper clip (1) to the seat cushion frame (2) fully.

3. Position the power seat switch (1) back into the seat side shield and seat the retaining tabs (2) fully.

4. Locate the lower rear retaining clip and seat into the seat cushion frame fully.

NOTE: Driver side shown, Passenger side is similar.

5. Secure the front upper hoop (1) to the tab on the seat cushion frame.

6. Locate the lower front retaining clip and seat into the seat cushion frame fully.

7. Seat the arrow clips (2) into the inner shield hoops fully.

8. Install the screws.

9. Install the two screws at the rear of the side shield.

10. Install the seat belt anchor (3) and install the anchor bolt (2).
11. Tighten the bolt (2) to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

12. Position the anchor cover (1) back onto the side cover and secure the lower tabs (3).
13. Position the upper arrow clip (2) in place and seat fully.

14. Make sure the retaining clip is seated onto the recliner handle and seat the handle (2) onto the recliner shaft fully.

Upper Fold Flat Shield

1. Slide the shield rearward until the side hook (1) is positioned behind the seat back hinge and the alignment pin (2) is positioned in the hole until fully seated.

2. Line up the the shield retaining clip to the slot in the seat back hinge (1) and seat fully.
