B1937-FLIPPER GLASS RELEASE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW

- When Monitored:
Whenever the ignition is on.
- Set Condition:
When the TIPM senses a low condition on the (Q80) Flip-Up Glass Switch Sense circuit for over 5 seconds, this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
2. Operate the Flip-Up Glass Switch several times.
3. Cycle the ignition from on to off.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1937-FLIPPER GLASS RELEASE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Check for a possible switch sticking at times and replace if found defective. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. FLIP-UP GLASS SWITCH
1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Disconnect the License Lamp (Flip-Up Glass Switch) connector.
3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1937-FLIPPER GLASS RELEASE SWITCH CIRCUIT LOW?
Yes
- Replace the License Lamp (Flip-Up Glass Switch).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 3
3. (Q80) FLIP-UP GLASS SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the TIPM C7 connector.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q80) Flip-Up Glass Switch Sense circuit in the License Lamp connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (Q80) Flip-Up Glass Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
