Antilock Brake Module (ABS)






C2101-BATTERY VOLTAGE HIGH

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the wiring information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
Continuous monitoring.

- Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects system voltage is above 16.8 volts.

NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs from the PCM.
3. With the scan tool, read and record Freeze Frame information.
4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
7. With the scan tool read DTCs from the PCM.

Are any charging system codes present?

Yes

- Repair the charging system DTC in the PCM.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Powertrain Verification Test.

No

- Go To 2

2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Connect voltmeter to vehicle battery.

Is the vehicle battery voltage over 16.8 volts?

Yes

- Repair the charging system.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Go To 3

3. CHARGING POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
1. With a scan tool read Power Supply Voltage.

Is Power Supply Voltage over 16.8 volts?

Yes

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brakes Module.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Perform ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
