Sunroof Module (SUNR)

B210D-BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
At all times.

- Set Condition:
Anytime the module senses voltage input below 9.0 volts (motor operating or not). After this code is set, it becomes stored when the voltage exceeds 9.1 volts.

1. CHECK ENGINE DTCs

NOTE: Ensure the battery is fully charged before proceeding.

1. With the scan tool, read ENGINE DTCs

Are there any ENGINE BATTERY OR CHARGING SYSTEM DTCs present?

No

- Go To 2

Yes

- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure, Testing and Inspection.

2. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
2. Start the engine and run for 2 minutes.
3. Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW in the Sunroof module only?

Yes

- Go To 3

No

- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

3. (A932) FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT RESISTED

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Lower the headliner and disconnect the Sunroof Motor/Module connector.
3. Test for a resisted (A932) Fused B(+) circuit by connecting a 12-volt test light between the (A932) Fused B(+) circuit and the (Z914) Ground circuit in the Sunroof Motor/Module connector. The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Replace the Sunroof Motor/Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

No

- Test the (A932) Fused B(+) and the (Z914) Ground circuits to determine which circuit is resisted. Repair the (A932) Fused B(+) circuit or the (Z914) Ground circuit for high resistance.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.
