Antilock Brake Module (ABS)






C2100-BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects system voltage is below 7.5 volts.





1. DTCS IN THE ECM/PCM

NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs from the ECM/PCM.
3. With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
7. With the scan tool read DTCs from the ECM/PCM.

Are any charging system codes present?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection for diesel engine applications or Testing and Inspection for gas engine applications and perform the diagnostic procedure.

No

- Go To 2

2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Connect voltmeter to vehicle battery.

Is the vehicle battery voltage under 8.2 volts?

Yes

- Repair the charging system.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Go To 3

3. CHARGING POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
1. With a scan tool read Power Supply Voltage.

Is Power Supply Voltage under 8.2 volts?

Yes

- Replace the Anti-Lock Brake Module.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.

No

- Perform the ABS INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. ABS Intermittent Condition Test.
