B1D76-SEAT REAR VERTICAL POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH
- When Monitored:
When the Seat Motor is activated.
- Set Condition:
If during motor operation the sensor voltage is not within a specified range this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
3. Move the Driver Seat Switch in the Vertical position three times.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
2. REAR DRIVER VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER MOTOR
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Rear Driver Vertical Seat Adjuster Motor harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
5. Move the seat switch in the Vertical positions three times.
6. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Rear Driver Vertical Seat Adjuster Motor assembly.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
3. (G402) DRIVER SEAT REAR VERTICAL POSITION SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Memory Seat Module C2 harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage of the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. (G402) DRIVER SEAT REAR VERTICAL POSITION SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit to other circuits in the Memory Seat Module C2 connector.
Is there any continuity present to other circuits?
Yes
- Repair the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit for a short to another circuit.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. (G402) DRIVER SEAT REAR VERTICAL POSITION SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit between the Memory Seat Module C2 harness connector and the Rear Driver Vertical Seat Adjuster Motor harness connector.
Is the resistance below 10.0 ohms?
Yes
- Replace the Memory Seat Module.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Repair the (G402) Driver Seat Rear Vertical Position Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Seat System Verification Test.
