Side Marker Lamp - Removal






LAMP

NOTE: The following procedure applies only to vehicles manufactured for domestic markets. Vehicles manufactured for export markets do not have a bulb, socket or wiring provided to illuminate the front side marker compartment of the front lamp unit. The front side marker for export vehicles is replaced by a white reflector.





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Partially remove the liner from the front of the front fender wheel house. Splash Shield - Removal.
3. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the connector receptacle integral to the bulb socket on the back of the front side marker lamp housing (1) located on the inside of the outboard-facing end of the front fascia (2).
4. Remove the nut (3) that secures the stud near the bottom of the lamp housing to the inside surface of the front fascia.
5. Disengage the lower edge of the lamp from the outer surface of the front fascia, then pull it slightly downward to disengage the tab at the top of the housing from the notch in the fascia.
