THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS ALSO BEING RELEASED AS RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL (RRT) 11-076. ALL APPLICABLE UN-SOLD RRT VIN's HAVE BEEN LOADED. TO VERIFY THAT THIS RRT SERVICE ACTION IS APPLICABLE TO THE UN-SOLD VEHICLE, USE VIP OR PERFORM A VIN SEARCH IN TECHCONNECT. FOR VEHICLES NOT INCLUDED IN THE RRT VIN LIST, APPLICATION OF THIS SERVICE BULLETIN TO SOLD UNITS IS BASED UPON THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCING THE SYMPTOM/CONDITIONS. Vehicle Drifts To The Right
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to all vehicles built after June 1st, 2010 (MDHO6OI XX) and before June 3rd, 2011 (MDHO6O3XX).
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves inspecting, road testing and if necessary replacing the upper control arm.
MODELS:
2011 KA Nitro
2011 KK Liberty
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Vehicle drifts to the right at all speeds.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. With the vehicle parked, using a flashlight inspect the left upper control arm at the area shown in (Fig. 1).
NOTE:
The vehicle has been raised for demonstration purposes only.
2. Were there two green dots and/or a stamped p/n: TRW RH086?
a. Yes >>> Proceed to Step # 6.
b. No >>> Proceed to Step # 3.
3. Road test the vehicle at parking lot speeds for 5 minutes.
4. Did the vehicle drift to the right?
a. Yes >>> Proceed to Step # 5.
b. No >>> If the vehicle is not listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list further diagnosis is required, this bulletin does not apply. Otherwise return the vehicle to the customer or dealer inventory.
5. Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist.
6. Remove and Replace the left side upper control arm. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerConnect > TechCONNECT under: Service Info > 02-Front Suspension> Front > Arm, Upper Control > Removal/Installation > Left Side.

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
