Antilock Brake Module (ABS)

C2100-BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW



- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
If the Anti-Lock Brake Module detects system voltage is below 9.5 Volts.





1. DTCS IN THE ECM/PCM

NOTE: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Using the scan tool, read and record DTCs from the ECM/PCM.
3. Using the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
4. Using the scan tool, erase DTCs.
5. Start the engine.
6. Using the scan tool, read and record DTCs.
7. With the scan tool read DTCs from the ECM/PCM.

Are any charging system codes present?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection for gas engine applications and Testing and Inspection for diesel engine applications and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.

No

- Go To 2

2. CHARGING SYSTEM FAILURE
1. Start the engine.
2. Connect Voltmeter to vehicle battery.

Is the vehicle battery voltage under 8.02 volts?

No

- ABS Verification Test Perform the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST ABS Intermittent Condition Test.

Yes

- Repair the charging system.
- Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ABS Verification Test.
