UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector (2).
3. Remove air inlet resonator to throttle body hose assembly (1).





4. Disconnect the throttle body (1) electrical connector (3).
5. Disconnect the EVAP hose at the throttle body.





6. Remove the EGR tube (1) Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Tube - Removal.





7. Disconnect the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor (1) electrical connector (2) at the rear of the intake manifold (3).





8. Disconnect the power brake booster hose (1) at the rear of the intake manifold (2) and position aside.





9. Disconnect the PCV hose (1) from the upper intake manifold.





10. Remove the upper intake manifold bolts and remove the manifold.
11. Cover the lower intake manifold ports with a suitable cover while the upper manifold is removed.
12. Clean and inspect the upper intake manifold.
