Fuel Injector - Removal

REMOVAL

The fuel rail must be removed to gain access to the fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Rail Removal Fuel Rail - Removal.

1. Disconnect injector wiring connector from each injector.










2. Rotate injector (2) and pull out of fuel rail. The clip will stay on injector.
3. Check injector O-ring for damage. If O-ring is damaged, it must be replaced. If injector is reused, a protective cap must be installed on injector tip to prevent damage. Replace injector clip if it is damaged.
4. Repeat procedures for remaining injectors.
