Sportage Wiper Arm Retaining Nut Cover





This bulletin provides information related to a change in the Sportage wiper arm retaining nut cover. Beginning with VIN KNDJB7235V5529145 and production date 10/8/96, all Sportage models are equipped with the improved wiper arm retaining nut covers.

The previous wiper arm retaining nut cover was constructed of plastic and, in some instances, did not provide sufficient tension between the retaining nut cover and the wiper arm. The improved retaining nut cover is constructed of rubber and provides a more secure fit in the wiper arm.

The improved wiper arm cover is interchangeable with the previous cover and should be used to replace any wiper arm cover that has fallen off. The replacement procedure for the improved cover is the same as the previous version and no special service tools are required.
