Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Adjustments

1. Slide the rubber boot to the left and pull the inner cable lightly until a slight resistance is felt, and hold it.





2. Measure the gap as shown. The gap should be 0.031-0.059 inch (0.8-1.5 mm) wide. If the width is not as specified, adjust the A/T control cable as described in steps 3 and 4.
3. Loosen the locknut. Tighten or loosen the adjusting nut, as needed, until the correct gap measurement is achieved.
4. Once the gap is correct, tighten the locknut.

Tightening torque: 14.4-26.4 inch lbs. (2-3 Nm)
