TITLE: Rear Wheel Bearing

SERVICE TIP:

The Sportage uses a special single row Timken tapered bearing on each rear axle. It is packed in the box as a single unit, with the outer race glued to the roller bearing thrust plate to facilitate installation. This bearing must be packed with wheel bearing grease before installation. The bearing isn't shipped pre-lubed, and also isn't lubricated by the differential fluid.

CAUTION
FAILURE TO LUBRICATE THE BEARING COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
