Sedona Sliding Door Adjustment

Some customers may complain about sliding doors
being hard to open. In most cases this concern can be
resolved by properly lubricating weather strips and
door seals using a high quality silicone lubricant spray.
Before making any changes to the adjustment, follow instructions below:

Weatherstrip Lubrication:

Apply high quality silicone spray lubricant around the entire door weatherstrip, rain rail weatherstrip and the center door slide weatherstrip as indicated in photo. bracket to door are for up/down adjustments; the two bolts that connect both brackets are for in/out adjustments. Finer adjustments to the front of the door can be made using the in/out or up/down range as required with the adjusting bolts slightly loose until the final adjustment is made. See photo below showing top view of upper roller assembly.

If lubrication does not improve high opening and/or closing effort, or if door does not line up correctly with body or front door, check and correct the roller adjustments shown below:

Upper Roller with Stopper Adjustment

Roller Adjustment: Four outboard bolts are for door adjustment purposes. (Note: two inboard bolts are for stopper adjustments only) The two bolts securing
bracket to door are for up/down adjustments; the two
bolts that connect both brackets are for in/out adjustments.
Finer adjustments to the front of the door can
be made using the in/out or up/down range as required
with the adjusting bolts slightly loose until the final
adjustment is made. See photo below showing top
view of upper roller assembly.

Stopper Adjustment: Loosen the two inboard stopper adjustment bolts, open door fully and latch, measure stopper tip to vehicle body; maximum clearance is 2 mm, adjust bracket as required, then tighten bolts.

Center Roller Adjustments

Adjustment: Three center support roller bolts each allow for a small amount of adjustment. Adjust the rear edge of the sliding door up/down, fore/aft as required. If the door rubs the body during opening, the center roller needs further adjustments.

Lower Roller

Adjustment: Lower three mounting bolts to door are for adjustment purposes.

Sliding Door Alignment to Front Door

Adjust the Male Wedge as follows:

Install the male wedge retaining screws hand tight, close and then re-open the door. Tighten the retaining screws to 89 in-lbs. (10 Nm). Finer front door adjustments can be made using the in/out, up/down range as required. Rear of door adjustments can be accomplished by adjusting the striker and latch assemblies.

Sliding Door Rear Alignment

Adjust the striker as required:

If it is determined during adjustment procedures that any of the roller assemblies are damaged or badly worn, replace the assemblies and re-adjust door(s) as described.
