TITLE: Camshaft and Cam Gear Designations

SERVICE TIP:

The cam gears and camshafts are incorrectly identified in the Sedona Service Manual. Please refer to the following information when servicing.











Cam Gears
- Right bank (bank 1) intake and exhaust gears are interchangeable and are stamped 3.5R
- Left bank (bank 2) intake gear is stamped 3.5L
- Left bank (bank2) exhaust gear (with cam sensor ring) is stamped 3.5D

Camshafts
- Right bank (bank 1) camshafts are stamped at the rear of the engine, J on intake cam and H on exhaust cam
- Left bank (bank 2) camshafts are longer than bank 1 cams, and are stamped at the front of engine, I on intake cam and E on exhaust cam.
