Rear Axle

Rear axle
The rear suspension consists of the shock absorber and coil spring as a nonindependent type. A forged rear spindle bolts to the hub assembly and the rear casting. The rear casting bolts to the shock absorbers, lower arms, upper arms, a hollow stabilizer bar and panhard rod.

The lower arms, the upper arms and the panhard rod have rubber bushings at each end.

Notice: If a rear suspension component becomes bent or damaged, do not attempt to straighten it. Always replace with a new part.

Lower arms, upper arms, panhard rod and spindles are normally replaced only when the part has been damaged or when the vehicle has been involved in an accident.
