Trip Computer: Description and Operation

TRIP COMPUTER

DESCRIPTION

Trip computer receives all the information related to the trip and displays various data for driving on the monitor. The trip data includes the average speed from the IGN-ON till the IGN-OFF, driving time, outside temperature, speed limit, driving distance, and distance to empty with remaining fuel.
- When the MODE switch is pressed for 1 second over in 29 minutes or less, the minutes will be reset to "00", and pressed for 1 second over in 30 minutes or more, the hour will be increased and the minutes will be reset to "00".
- When the MODE switch is depressed for 1 second over in the average speed mode, the current accumulated average speed will be reset to 0.
- When the MODE switch is depressed for 1 second over in the drive time mode, the current accumulated drive time will be reset to 0.

TRIP FEATURE AND RELATED SWITCHES.

Display on monitor using related switches MODE, HOUR, MIN switches.

MODE SWITCH

- Pressing MODE switch shifts the mode clockwise as follows.

HOUR SWITCH

- Every time pressing "HOUR" switch, the hour will be up-counted.

MIN SWITCH

- Every time pressing "MIN" switch, the minute will be up-counted.

OUTPUT SPECIFICATION

AVERAGE SPEED

1. Indication range : 0 - 999 MPH (km/h).
2. Indication average speed from detecting pulse upon the IGN ON to the IGN OFF.
3. Upon re-starting the engine, the last average speed will display.
4. When IGN OFF and the battery ground cable disconnected current accumulated value will be reset to
5. Current accumulated value will be reset to "---" upon MODE switch ON for 1 second over.
6. Average speed = Accumulation driving distance/Accumulation driving time (After IGN ON)
7. Speed indication: update every 10 second.
8. Tolerance: ±0.4 %

DRIVING TIME

1. Indication range : 00:00 - 99:59
2. Indicates accumulated running time from the IGN ON to the IGN OFF.
3. Upon re-starting the engine, last running time will display.
4. Upon the MODE switch ON for 1 second over, the current accumulated value will be reset to "0".
5. When IGN OFF and the battery ground cable is disconnected, the accumulated value will be reset to "0".

6. Tolerance : 0.4%

DRIVE POSSIBLE DISTANCE

1. Indication range: 51 - 999 mile (31 - 995 km)
2. Indicates distance that the vehicle may be able to run with remaining fuel. If the drive possible distance is less than 31 miles (51 km), it display
3. Upon re-starting the engine, the last drive possible distance will display.
4. Drive possible distance =
The rest amount of fuel x 32 mile (km)/The latest used amount of fuel during 32 mile driving.

5. Display interval : increase (+1 mile (km)/45 sec), decrease (-1 mile (km)/15 sec)

6. Tolerance : ±2%

OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE

1. Indication range: -30 °F - +149 °F (-30 - 65 °C)

2. Display the average outside temperature for 4 seconds using the outside temperature sensor installed on the radiator.
