SERVICE TIP:
To check TPS adjustment:
1. Connect Hi-Scan Pro to the OBDII connector (or under hood DLC).
2. Turn ignition switch on, all accessories off.
3. Select year/model then engine control, current data.
4. Select "TPS VOLTAGE" and press F1 to fix.
5. Select "IDLE SWITCH" and press F1 to fix.
6. Open throttle very slowly by hand until the IDLE SWITCH status switches to OFF, note TPS VOLTAGE.
7. Close throttle and note TPS VOLTAGE; closed throttle voltage should be 30-65mv less than voltage noted in Step 6.
Example: If the idle switch status switches to off at 720mv, closed throttle TPS voltage should be between 655mv and 690mv.
To adjust TPS:
1. Connect Hi-Scan Pro to the OBDII connector (or under hood DLC).
2. Turn ignition switch on, all accessories off.
3. Select year/model then engine control, current data.
4. Select "TPS VOLTAGE" and press F1 to fix.
5. Select "IDLE SWITCH" and press F1 to fix.
6. Loosen TPS retaining screws.
7. Rotate TPS very slowly until IDLE SWITCH status switches to OFF, note TPS VOLTAGE.
8. Rotate TPS until TPS VOLTAGE is 30-65mv less than the voltage noted in Step 7.
9. Tighten TPS retaining screws and recheck TPS voltage.
