Audio Unit Reset Procedures (Accessories - 005)

- Description

This bulletin provides information relating to some instances when the Compact Disc Player in a vehicle may:

1. Stop playing the CD

2. Not eject the CD

3. Not load the CD

Although, the radio operation is normally not affected, in these instances the audio unit should be reset. If the audio unit resets and resumes proper function, the repair is complete and the audio unit should not be replaced.

INSPECTION:

1. Verify the radio operates properly, but the CD changer does not play, eject or load CDs. Verify the CDs are in good condition.

2. Record the radio's programmed stations so that they can be re-set after resetting the audio unit.
