GROUP CHASSISNUMBER 024
MODEL 2006 - 2010MY SEDONA (VQ)
DATE JUNE 2010
SUBJECT:
REAR COIL SPRING LOWER TUBE REPLACEMENT
This bulletin provides information relating to some Sedona (VQ) vehicles built from June 15, 2005 to July 7, 2009 that may exhibit noise from rear suspension coil springs when traveling on a rough road or when cornering. The urethane tube on the lower end of rear coil spring may slip out of its normal position and may have deteriorated. To remedy this condition, replace lower urethane tubes (on both right and left rear coil springs) with the improved replacement rear coil spring tubes.
Service Procedure
1. Remove the right and left rear coil springs from the vehicle with reference to Sedona (VQ) Service Manual.
2. Remove the lower original urethane tube from the bottom of rear coil spring and replace it with an updated part.
CAUTION
Before fitting new replacement tube onto the rear coil spring, wipe any dirt or foreign substances off the rear coil spring.
Replacement tube should be stored at room temperature to facilitate installation. Soapy water will aid in the installation process.
Push new replacement tube onto the rear coil spring until the end of the tube and coil spring align.
3. Install removed components in reverse order of removal. Torque bolts/nuts to specifications as listed in the Service Manual.
Test drive vehicle to confirm that the abnormal noise concern has been corrected before releasing vehicle to the customer.
