Line Pressure Test

LINE PRESSURE TEST

LINE PRESSURE DETECTION PORT

TEST PROCEDURES

1. Check the engine fluid level. Replenish if necessary
2. Warm it up until ATF reaches 70 - 80°C (158 - 168°F) after approximately 10 minutes of driving to check the ATF level.

NOTE: When ambient temperature is 20°C (68°F), fluid temperature reaches 70 - 80°C (158 - 176°F) after approximately 10 minutes of urban driving.
3. Remove fluid pressure detection plug after warming up A/T, install fluid pressure gauge (special tool: ST2505 S001).

CAUTION: When using the fluid pressure gauge, use O-ring that is installed to the fluid pressure detection plug.

4. Securely engage the parking brake so that the tires do not turn.

5. Start the engine and measure line pressure during idle rotation and stall speed.

CAUTION:
^ Shall be depressing the brake pedal all the way during measurement.
^ When measuring line pressure with stall speed, refer to [Stall test]. Non-Trouble Code Procedures

6. After completing measurement, install fluid pressure detection plug and tighten to the following specified torque.
Tightening torque: 4.8 - 9.8 Nm (50 - 70 kgf-cm, 3.6 - 5.0 ft. lbs.)

CAUTION: Do not reuse O-ring.
