Component Inspection

Check Right Outside Mirror Motor
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Select 'ACTUATION TEST' mode on scantool and press [F1] to start




4. Dose right outside mirror motor work properly ?
YES
1) Go to "Check right outside mirror sensor" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good right outside mirror and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace right outside mirror and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check right outside mirror sensor
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Measure voltage value between terminal "12" of outside mirror and chassis ground. While operating outside mirror switch
A. Specification : left end -> approx. 3.88V, right end -> approx. 1.0V




4. Is the measured voltage within specifications ?
YES
1) Go to "Check ADM" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good right outside mirror and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace right outside mirror and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check ADM
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Measure voltage value between terminal "9,11" of outside mirror and chassis ground. While operating outside mirror switch
A. Specification : 9 - 16V




4. Is the measured voltage within specifications ?
YES
1) Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good ADM and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace ADM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
