Component Inspection

Check driver Door lock actuator
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Select 'ACTUATION TEST' mode on scantool and press [F1] to start




4. Dose driver Door lock actuator work properly ?
YES
1) Go to "Check driver Door lock monitoring switch" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good driver Door lock actuator and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace driver Door lock actuator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check driver Door lock monitoring switch
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Measure voltage value between terminal "9" of ADM and chassis ground. While operating assist door lock actuator
A. Specification : Door lock -> 5V, Door unlock -> 0V




4. Is the measured voltage within specifications ?
YES
1) Go to "Check ADM" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good driver Door lock actuator and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace driver Door lock actuator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
Check ADM
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Measure voltage value between terminal "5" of ADM and chassis ground. While operating driver door lock switch.
A. Specification : 9 - 16V




4. Is the measured voltage within specifications ?
YES
1) Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good ADM and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace ADM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
