VARIABLE INTAKE SOLENOID (VIS) VALVE

INSPECTION







FUNCTION AND OPERATION PRINCIPLE
Variable lntake Solenoid (VIS) Valve is installed on the intake manifold and is used to improve intake efficiency.
1. Low/Middle Speed: VIS Valve Close -> Resonation Effect -> Improving lntake Efficiency
2. High Speed: VIS Valve Open -> Improving Intake Inertia Effect -> Improving Intake Efficiency

COMPONENT INSPECTION
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect VIS Valve connector.
3. Measure resistance between VIS Valve terminals 1 and 2.
4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.
