General Description

Position incoder provides feedback from the shift motor to the TCCU. 4 switch signals, from encoder, provide information on rotational direction and location of shift motor. The MPS (Motor Position Sensor) receives 5 volts from the TCCU. In cases where the mode switch changes; the shift motor is operates, and MPS contact point creates an ON/OFF signal. When 5 volts is received by the TCCU, it monitors operation of shift motor.






DTC Description

Relates to position incoder 1, this trouble code is set if case position encoder 4 signal harness is either grounded or short circuited.
