Description
This bulletin provides information belated to a service campaign to secure the seat belt guide mounted to the B-pillar. Some 2007MY Sorento vehicles produced between 6/5/2006 and 11/20/2006 may experience the seat belt guide disengaging from the B-pillar panel. This condition could cause the plastic guide to rattle. The following repair procedure must be performed on both the front left and right seat belt assemblies, and requires partial removal of the B-pillar trim to install foam blocks.

Service Procedure
Inspection Procedure:
1. Open hood and inspect for SC067 Campaign Completion Label in the engine compartment next to the fuse box.
If label exists NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED. If label DOES NOT EXIST continue to Repair Procedure.
NOTICE
Campaign completion must be verified on the Warranty Coverage Validation inquiry screen prior to performing repairs [Kia Standard System (KSS) Main Menu-Option 3]
Repair Procedure:
1. Move both front seats as far forward as possible to access the lower trim panel of the B-pillar.
2. Spread the ends and pull back the top of the lower B-pillar enough to access the seat belt guide.
3. If necessary insert guide pins into B-pillar using guide holes in B-pillar
4. Install two (2) foam protectors to the seat belt guide as shown
CAUTION
Be sure to attach the protectors on both ends of the seat belt guide as shown.
5. Re-install the B-pillar trim cover. Repeat the procedure on the other front seat belt assembly.
6. Install Campaign Completion Label.
