Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Back Up Lamp and Back Warning System Circuit Inspection

Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF", disconnect battery (-) terminal.
2. Disconnect RAM connector.
3. Measure resistance between the back up lamp terminal of RAM harness connector and ground of the back up lamp.
4. Measure resistance between the back warning signal terminal of RAM harness connector and FBWS harness connector.

Specification : Approx. 1 Ohm





5. Is the measured resistance within specification?
