General Information
General Description
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system consist of the Accelerator Position Sensors (APS) and the Throttle Body which houses the Throttle Position Sensors (TPS). TPS 1 & 2 share the same source voltage and ground. The throttle valve is moved by a throttle motor which is housed in the Throttle Body and controlled by the ECM. As the throttle is opened, TPS1 output signal increase smoothly while TPS2 output signal will decrease. The APS sends signals to the ECM with the driver's request. The ECM then commands the throttle motor to move the throttle valve. The TPS provides feedback to the ECM on the throttle valve movement.
DTC Description
If ECM recognizes vehicle state as forced limited power mode under detecting condition, it sets P2106.
