Component Inspection

1. Check PTG
1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & PTG "ON"
2. Make chime bell be in "ON" condition

CAUTION:
** Chime bell 'ON' condition :
prior to and during power opening or closing the Tailgate
when a power operation cannot be performed as requested except handle pull an obstacle has been detected.
PTG has not reached primary latch position after a power cinch cycle
PTG is not in primary latch position and the vehicle is moving.


3. Measure voltage between terminal "R41-2-2" of PTG and chassis ground
A. Specification : Approx. 5V




4. Is the measured voltage within specifications?
YES
1) Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good PTG and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace PTG and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
