Component Inspection

Check clearance lamp/tail license side marker lamp
1. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
2. Disconnect clearance lamp/tail license side marker lamp
3. Measure the resistance between both terminals of clearance lamp/tail license side marker lamp light bulb.
A. Specification : approx. 0.04 Ohms (If light bulb fails, Infinity Ohms is measured.)




4. Is the measured resistance within the specification?
YES
1) Go to"Check RAM".
NO
1) Replacing the light bulb with 'light bulb for test', if normal operating condition is confirmed, Replace 'light bulb for test' with 'new light bulb' and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".
Check RAM
1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
3. Check if DTC is erased after replacing RAM with "FAM for test".
4. Is the DTC erased?
YES
1) Replace "RAM for test" with "new RAM" and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair".
NO
1) Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace if necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
