Component Inspection

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect "C106-3" connector.
3. Measure the resistance between each terminal of the sensor.
A. Specification :




[ RANGE SWITCH continuity check table ]




4. Is resistance within specifications?
YES
1) Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Check for open or short in harness. Repair as necessary and Go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure
2) If signal circuit in harness is OK, Substitute with a known-good "TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH" as necessary and go to "verification of vehicle repair" procedure.
