General Description
The Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) system consists of Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) and the Throttle Body. The Throttle Body houses the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and the Throttle Motor. The APS signals track the movement of the accelerator pedal. The ECM uses the APS signals (driver's input) to give commands to the throttle motor which moves the throttle plate. The ECM uses the TPS signals as a feed back signal to know what the throttle angle is.
DTC Description
Checking output signals from APS 1 under detecting condition, if output signals are above the threshold, ECM sets P2123.
