2011 Sorento (XM) with P0300 only, no Driveability Complaints

Some 2011 Sorento (XM) with 3.5L produced prior to April 8, 2010 may set a P0300 DTC with no indication of engine roughness or mis-fire. During vehicle investigation and testing the crankshaft position sensor P/N: 39310 3C400 produced abnormal electrical noise during high RPM's in few cases; setting the DTC. To repair this concern in the interim or until further notice please replace the crankshaft sensor with P/N: 39310 3C100. Kia motors will release TSB when the crankshaft sensor has been countermeasured and is ready for release. Follow Electronic Service information for replacement instructions and Labor Times
