Replacement

Tailgate Trim Replacement

NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tipped screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the handle (D) : Pull the screw covers and then remove the screws.
2. After removing the screws, remove the tailgate trim (A).
3. Remove the upper trim (B) and side trim (C).
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Replace and damaged clips.
- Make sure the tail gate locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.





Tailgate Latch Replacement
1. Remove the tailgate trim.
2. Disconnect the tailgate latch connector (A).
3. After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the latch assembly (B).

Tightening torque :
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)




4. Installation is the reverse of removal

NOTE:
- Make sure the tail gate locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.

Tailgate Replacement

NOTE:
- Take care not to be closed the tailgate, when removing the life.

1. Using a screwdriver (A), lift the socket clip (B) up slightly on both ends of the lifter (D), and then remove the lifter from the bracket (C).




2. Push the socket of the lifter into the bracket for installation.

NOTE:
- Make sure the tail gate locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.

Tailgate Weatherstrip Replacement

CAUTION:
- Do not apply sealant to the body.

1. Remove the tailgate weatherstrip (A).




2. Installation is the reverse of removal.

NOTE:
- Install the weatherstrip aligned with canter line (B).

Adjustment

1. Check that the door and body edges are parallel.
2. After loosening the tailgate hinge (A) mounting bolt, adjust the tailgate by moving it up or down, or right or left.
3. Adjust the tailgate fit by turning the tailgate over slam bumper and side bumper (B).
4. Adjust the striker (C) by moving it up or down, or right or left.
5. Make sure the tail gate locks / unlocks and opens / closes properly.
