VCM Position Sensor

Inspection

1. Check the signal waveform of the VCM position sensor using the GDS.

NOTE:
In order to operate VCMA, use the actuator test function in the GDS.

Specification: Refer to "Wave Form" Testing and Inspection

Removal

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
2. Remove the intake manifold .
3. Remove the installation screws (A), and then remove the VCM position sensor.






Installation

CAUTION:
- Install the component with the specified torques.
- Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect before installing.

CAUTION:
- Be careful the position of the sensor groove contacting with the VCM Valve when installing.

1. Installation is reverse of removal.

VCM position sensor installation screw:4.0 - 6.0 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 3.0 - 4.4 lb-ft)
