Secondary Seat
Seat Assembly Replacement
1. Disconnect the seat track cover, then loosen the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque :
44.1 - 58.8 N.m (4.5 - 6.0 Kgf.m, 32.5 - 43.4 lb-ft)
2. Folding the seat.
3. Loosen the mounting bolt and seat belt buckle mounting bolt, then remove the seat assembly (A).
4. Disconnect the connector (A), then remove the seat assembly.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
NOTE:
Seat mounting bolt and nut installation procedure.
- Tighten temporarily in the order of nut and bolt on the front of recliner hinge installation part.
- After completely tightening completely the bolt on the back of the recliner hinge installation part, tighten the bolt on the front of it completely.
- Setting down the seat cushion, tighten the mounting bolt of the cushion frame hinge.
- Check if reclining the seat and folding seat back operate smoothly.
Seat Back Cover Replacement
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
1. Push the lock pin (B), and then remove the headrest (A).
2. Using a flat-tip screwdriver, remove the cover (A).
3. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the armrest (A).
4. Using a flat-tip screwdriver, remove the cover (A).
5. Remove the seat back panel (A).
6. Remove the armrest cover (A).
7. Remove the cap and screw, then remove the recliner cover (A).
8. Disconnect the protector.
9. Remove the headrest guide (A).
10. After removing the hog-ring clips (B) on the front of seat cushion and remove the seat cushion cover (A).
11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
NOTE:
- To prevent wrinkles, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the cover (B) before securing the hog-ring clips (A).
- Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C).
Seat Back Frame Replacement
1. Remove the seat cushion.
2. Loosen the recliner lever mounting screw and then disconnect the lever (A).
3. Disconnect the recliner cable (A).
4. After loosen the mounting bolts, then remove the seat back frame (A).
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Seat Cushion Cover Replacement
1. Remove the seat back cushion cover.
2. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the back folding hinge cover (A).
3. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the bracket (A).
4. After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the recliner cover (A).
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
5. Disconnect the heated seat connector (A) mounting clip.
6. Disconnect the protector (B), and then remove the seat cushion (A).
7. After removing the hog-ring clips (B) on the front of seat cushion and remove the seat cushion cover (A).
8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
NOTE:
- To prevent wrinkles, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the cover (B) before securing the hog-ring clips (A).
- Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C).
Seat Cushion Heater Replacement
Removal
1. Remove the seat cushion cover
2. Cut the heater (A) attached to the sponge (B), as shown in the picture.
CAUTION:
- Take care the slab sponge not to be damaged.
Installation
1. Detach the paper from the reverse side of heater assembly.
2. Install the seat heater to main sponge.
CAUTION:
- Take care the seat heater shape change.
- Put the seat heater on the seat cushion exactly.
3. Installation the seat cushion cover.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the seat warmer line, when installing the hog-ring clips.
NOTE:
- To prevent wrinkles, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the cover (B) before securing the hog-ring clips (A).
- Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C).
Seat Cushion Frame Replacement
1. Remove the seat back cover.
2. Remove the recliner cover.
3. Loosen the seat cushion mounting bolt (A).
4. Remove the seat mounting cover (A).
5. Loosen the mounting screw and then remove the recliner cover (A).
6. Remove the seat mounting cover (A).
7. After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the recliner cover (A).
8. After loosening the mounting bolt, then remove the seat cushion frame (A).
9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
