SUBJECT: BACK-UP CAMERA AND NAVI HEAD UNIT CHANGE
This bulletin provides information related to a change in Back-Up Camera Assembly and NAVI Head Unit software on Sorento vehicles produced after September 29, 2011. Vehicles produced after this date, have a different design Backup Camera that also requires another version of the NAVI software for compatibility. Prior to ordering a reman NAVI Head Unit, follow this TSB to verify the NAVI Head Unit software version and refer to the table below for the correct part numbers.
How to determine the combination of NAVI Software Version / and Camera:
If the NAVI software version cannot be verified via the NAVI Head Unit due to NAVI Head Unit malfunction (example: Failure to power up), then determine the NAVI software version / camera pair based on vehicle production date as indicated in the table above.
If the NAVI software version can be verified via the NAVI Head Unit:
1. With system powered up, press "SETUP" button on the NAVI Head Unit assembly.
2. Select "System Info" in the "Setup" Screen.
3. Check the "S/W Version" in the "System Info" screen.
NOTICE
V_"XX" version digits 1 and 2 will be used to determine software version (example: V_52 or V_77). "*_*" version digits 3 and 5 will vary.
4. Select correct combination of NAVI Head Unit and camera using table above.
