Cold Start - Service Action H855
Following complaints of a no start in temperatures below -5°F (-20°C), the factory engineers have developed an improved fueling tune. This updated tune reduces the amount of fuel applied during starting below the above temperature and improves the cold starting of the engine.
Land Rover North America believe this improvement should be made available to those customers residing in areas that can and have experienced the above temperatures. To this end this Service Action will apply to 1995 Range Rover Classics, 1994 and 1995 Discovery's and 1995 Defender 90's that are located in the following states:
This Service Action will be run in conjunction with the H845 - Electronic Air Suspension for 1995 Range Rover Classic only. This will prevent owners of '95 Classics included in the EAS Service Action from being contacted twice, and hence a possible two separate visits to your dealership. There are two letters, one for vehicles only affected by H845, the second for those vehicles affected by both H845 and H855.
Exact repair procedures and in-depth technical advice will be provided in Technical Information Bulletin H855.
If a vehicle is not included in this Service Action, no action should be undertaken to repair the vehicle under this program. However, if a vehicle either experiences a cold start problem in temperatures below -5°F (-20°C) or you assess that this upgrade is required because of vehicle cold climate usage, the upgrade should be carried out according to the Technical Information Bulletin 19/01/95/US.
