Troubleshooting Hints

1. If the washer does not operate, check the washer fluid hoses for kinks or blockage.
2. If the wiper does not operate only when washer is requested, check LGS wire and Multifunction Unit (MFU) (Z148).
3. If the wiper operates with tailgate open, check Tailgate Switch (X170) and PB wires.
4. If the sunroof operates, go to Sunroof. Sunroof / Moonroof
5. If the washer runs continuously, replace the Rear Screen Wash Switch (X222).
6. It wiper and washer do not operate, check GLG wire and Fuse F18.
7. If the wiper will not return to it's parked position when the ignition switch is turned off, check sunroof operation within 45 seconds after turning the ignition off. If the sunroof does not operate check Sunroof Load Relay (K138) and Window Lift ECU (Z147), otherwise check Rear Wiper Motor (M120).
