Front Door Rattle - Drivers Door

DETAIL

A door rattle has been noted on a number of vehicles within the above VIN range. When investigated it was found that the door lock actuator harness plug could vibrate behind the door lock actuator mounting plate. The concern is more evident when the vehicle is driven on uneven roads or when the door is closed. To overcome this condition a tie wrap has been introduced to secure the multi-plug to the actuator mounting plate.

ACTION REQUIRED

Upon customer complaint secure the actuator harness plug to the actuator mounting plate using a tie wrap.

PROCEDURE






1. Remove the door trim pad. Refer to the Workshop Manual, section 76.
2. Carefully remove the water curtain.
3. Locate the door actuator harness plug and pass the tie wrap through the slot on the back of the plug and secure to the actuator mounting plate as shown in the illustration.
