SUBJECT
Rear Side Door Windnoise At "D" Post

DETAIL

Windnoise has been experienced on a number of vehicles from the rear side door seals. Investigation has identified a contact point between the door seal and inner door trim when closing the door in the area of the "D" post to eyebrow (wheel arch). This contact causes the seal to roll upwards away from the sealing face of the door. To overcome this condition door setting has been revised, and where necessary the seal is being glued back to the carrier to provide the clearance necessary to clear the door trim pad, upon door closure.

ACTION REQUIRED

At Pre-Delivery Inspection or upon customer complaint check the seal for damage and replace as necessary and glue back to the carrier. If seal is is in good condition glue the seal down onto the seal carrier.
