Evaporative Emissions System: Application and ID
EVAP SystemsThere were two EVAP systems used by Land Rover for the vehicle.
They are refered to as Pre Advanced EVAP System and Advanced EVAP System.
The Pre Advanced EVAP system is a carry over from the previous model year and the Advanced EVAP system is new system for 1996 on.
Identification
The system was introduced on all North American specification vehicles from October 1996 and the vehicles can be recognized by the information contained in the EVAP. FAMILY entry on the underbonnet Emission label (mounted on the vertical face of the bonnet lock platform).
