Sensor Replacement

The VSS roadspeed transducer is located on the left hand side of the transfer box.

1. Raise vehicle on lift for access underneath.





2. Disconnect the multi-plug from the vehicle speed sensor (Figure 3).

3. Loosen and remove hold down screw and remove sensor (Figure 3).

4. Install new sensor, making sure that tip of sensor fits into transmission properly.

5. Fasten sensor with screw.

6. Reinstall sensor multi-plug.
