Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Service and Repair

Service repair no - 88.25.20

Remove
1. Partially drain cooling system.
2. Disconnect coolant temperature sensor.
3. Position rag around sensor to catch spillage.
4. Remove sensor.







Refit
5. Ensure sensor seat in manifold is clean.
6. Coat sensor threads with Loctite 577.
7. Fit sensor. Tighten to 10 Nm. (7 lbf.ft)
8. Connect sensor.
9. Refill cooling system.
10. Run engine to normal operating temperature. Check for leaks around sensor.
