Front Suspension Bushings - Replacement

Bulletin: P92-016

Section: Product

Date: 11/19/92

Model: Range Rover
Defender

Applicable to: USA/Canada

SUBJECT:
Front Suspension Bushings - Replacement Guidelines

When replacing front suspension bushings - radius arm and panhard rod - always replace the securing nuts, bolts and washers.

Re-use of hardware can lead to torque relaxation and customer complaints of "clunking".Since suspension bushing bolts are periodically tightened, especially after severe off-road use, it is important to change these items whenever the bushings are replaced.

Refer to the reverse side of this bulletin for work procedure, parts and warranty information.

WORK PROCEDURE

Refer to the Workshop Manual, sections 60 and 64 for replacement details and torque values.

PARTS INFORMATION

Refer to the Range Rover and Defender parts microfiche for bushing and hardware part numbers. It is our intention to have bushings and hardware packaged together for your convenience in the future. A Parts Bulletin will announce this change when it occurs.
