SUBJECT
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Fuse Removal - SRS Lamp Illuminated

DETAIL

It should be noted that fuses 7 and 14 in the main fuse box are linked to the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) circuit. If either of these fuses are removed while the ignition is on, a fault will be recorded in the SRS electronic control unit (ECU) and the SRS lamp in the instrument pack will be illuminated. To clear the recorded fault, the fuses must be replaced and the SRS system interrogated using Test-book and the fault cleared. Likewise if under normal operating conditions either fuse fails, the SRS light will be illuminated and the system must be checked using Test-book to identify the cause of the failure and to clear the recorded fault.

If the fuses have to be removed the procedure listed here must be followed.

ACTION REQUIRED

For information only. Follow the procedure listed prior to removing fuses 7 and 14.
